Sponsorship of live demonstrations in International Course of Therapeutic Digestive Endoscopy

The 22nd edition of the International Course of Therapeutic Digestive Endoscopy, which occurred between June 30 and July 2 at the Centro de Convenções Rebouças in São Paulo, was once more this year sponsored by WEM Equipamentos, of Ribeirão Preto.
The course was broadcast in real time through internet to the Portuguese-language, African and all Latin American countries. The purpose was to show ways to acknowledge the role of the endoscopist in diagnosing and handling the main anomalies of the digestive system and their integration with surgery, radiology, and oncology, in addition to diagnosing complications and identifying appropriate treatment, among others.
“We had three days of active theoretical and practical initiatives, and the hands-on activities enabled a rich interaction with participants. This was an excellent opportunity to learn with experienced professionals, whether Brazilian or from abroad, who have approached new techniques and procedures”, explains José Mário Conterato, WEM engineer.
Practical demonstrations were broadcast live from five rooms of the Endoscopy Service of HCFMUSP – Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo – with simultaneous projection in three screens in the auditorium.
